We now stock a range of new upright and grand pianos as well as our usual range of quality reconditioned instruments. Please do feel free to come and see us and try out some of our instruments.
Company ProfilePaul Rayner started Piano Workshop in 1989 after having completed two traditional apprenticeships in Pipe Organ Tuning and repair and piano restoration and tuning. Paul has worked for many of the country's leading firms and has worked in many prestigious venues throughout the country. Paul Started his working life at Henry Willis & Sons Ltd then went as a Tuner to Rushworth & Dreaper later he studied at Horsham Piano Centre then went briefly to Manders in London has worked subsequently as a sub contract tuner for Bluthner Pianos Rushworth & Dreaper Henry Willis & sons Ltd. Paul has carried out tuning work at BBC Broadcasting house BBC Maida vale Queen Elisabeth Hall South Bank Royal Albert Hall London Guilford cathedral St Michaels Cornhill St Paul's Knightsbridge Lewisham theatre Watford town hall Wimbledon Civic Hall He has also looked after tunings for Appleby Jazz Leeds jazz and many classical concerts. As well as piano sales the core of the business is specialized restoration such as wrest pin planks and soundboards as well as tuning and minor repairs Piano Workshop is dedicated to bringing music to people of all ages and ability and welcomes anyone with an interest in pianos.

Contact InformationVisitors are always welcome to come to our premises and see our new pianos as well as our older instruments in various stages of repair and rebuilding. We believe that this gives our customers an insight into the work involved in piano restoration, and we actively encourage our customers to visit us throughout the restoration process. We are usually open for visitors between 9am and 5pm Monday-Friday, Saturdays 10am to 5pm. Closed Wednesdays
